Visit the Doge's palace in Venice

Venice a city that receives more tourists and more places to visit. Usually the tourist trip circuit has 24 or 48 hours to enjoy the city and raises what places are not to be missed? 

Definitely a must-see is the "Palazzo Ducale", one of the most exciting and interesting places to visit in Venice. 

The Palace, owner of a clearly Gothic, stood at the east end of the Plaza de San Marcos, and is one of the best examples of the era of Venetian glory. He himself was official residence of the Doges and the seat of government and court and prison of the Republic of Venice. Taking advantage of the hours spent in the Piazza San Marco and gathering place to visit in the city we should reserve a few hours to have a guided visit to the palace. 

The Ducal Palace is surrounded by the bend of the Grand Canal, the sestiere San Marcos, through the centuries, was expanded and is now the most important public space in the city. Our visit may begin with the Scala d'Oro a golden staircase leading to the second floor. Thereafter and continuing to visit the Ducal Palace rooms where they lived the Bulldogs, voting wards, the armory, the courts and the prison visit. 

In the "House of the Duke" is admirable decoration of the rooms and tables that house, works of artists such as Veronese, Titian and Tintoretto show the history of Venice. 

We will reach the Sala del Consiglio Maggior, in which more than 1,000 people came to vote on the fate of La Serenissima. In this room is "Paradise", the world's largest canvas by Tintoretto. 

In the armory you can see all types of armor and weapons, from classic to sophisticated firearms. 

On the outside of the palace striking its imposing facade of white stone and pink marble. On the ground floor a beautiful gallery and watered window wall is observed. Curiously, the color changes depending Palace daylight, acquiring a delicate pink hue but keeping in Gothic warheads, a pink and white color.
